KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Firefighters in Kalamazoo spent part of the overnight trying to put out a fire that spread from one trailer to another.
The call came in just before 1:30 Friday morning about a structure fire in the 3600 block of Swift Drive. When crews arrived, flames were coming from a trailer and the extreme heat had caused it to start burning a neighboring trailer.
The residents of both homes had already evacuated safely and the fires were put out in about 40 minutes. No injuries were reported and the cause is still under investigation.
