PEORIA, IL (WKZO AM/FM) — The West Michigan Whitecaps scored at the beginning and end of a 9-4 victory over Peoria Wednesday night on the road. The team began a six-game series and scored four times in the first and went without scoring a run until the ninth inning, when they plated five more runs. They did leave a season-high 15 runners on base despite the 9 runs in the win.
The Whitecaps six-game series against the Peoria Chiefs continues with a Thursday doubleheader beginning at 6:00 pm.
