COLOMA TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two men from Kalamazoo were arrested following a police chase on I-94 in Berrien County that involved a stolen vehicle from the Chicago area.
Michigan State Police Troopers on patrol were alerted Wednesday evening about a possible stolen vehicle traveling east near mile marker 20. Once the vehicle was located, they attempted to pull it over, but the driver sped away. The chase continued for almost 20 miles until the driver crashed while trying to exit I-94 at mile marker 39 in Coloma Township.
The driver and a passenger both took off on foot, but didn’t make it very far before they were caught and arrested. The men, both 20-years-old from Kalamazoo, face several charges related to the chase and the stolen vehicle. Their names have not been released.
