KALAMAZOO MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Fall weather appears to be here for the duration…but when can we expect that first shot of sub-freezing temperatures?
Historically, the first night with temps at 32 degrees or below happens during the first two weeks of October…which begins on Friday.
In the Kalamazoo area, October 12th or 13th is a benchmark date for the first freezing night, mainly due to the effect of Lake Michigan.
The further north you go, the earlier the first sub-freezing temperature event.
