KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – No suspect has been identified in a shooting Friday evening in Kalamazoo.
At approximately 6:35 p.m. Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers responded to the area of Cobb and Elizabeth Streets in reference to a subject that had been shot.
When officers arrived, they located the victim, a 16-year-old Kalamazoo resident. The victim had been shot one time in the leg; he was transported to a local hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.
The suspect fled prior to police arrival and has not been identified.
