PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The city of Portage is now building its new Farmer’s Market.
Ground was broken at the site on East Centre Avenue yesterday and will feature three open-air pavilions with 50 covered stalls for vendors, ADA-compliant walkways, space for food trucks, picnic areas, and a performance space.
The new market is expected to open in the spring of 2026.
The Portage Farmer’s Market was established in 2016 and has grown from 5,000 visitors the first year to 30,000 now.
