KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Western Michigan University women’s track team held a 5K run this past weekend.
The event capped off the university’s homecoming weekend and over 150 runners competed.
It used to be known as the Campus Classic, and was paused for several years before returning last year.
WMU Women’s Track and Field head coach Kevin Cataldo says they are hoping it continues to grow over the years and adds it was “awesome” to have so many people show up for it.
The 5K was held as a benefit for the WMU Women’s Track and Field team.
