HICKORY CORNERS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about a potential scam related to a website with a Barry County address that is claiming to sell monkeys and birds.
Simply called Monkeysandbirdsforsale.com, they have listings for monkeys between $1,200 and $1,500 and parrots for $1,000, according to a news release Thursday. The BBB says there’s evidence this website may be a scam because it lists an address near Hickory Corners. But the owner of the property at that address says they have no connection to the website.
Investigators also say that the phone number for the company is the same as one used for another suspected scam website claiming to sell puppies.
