MARSHALL MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Calhoun County Prosecutor David Gilbert says that his office will seek charges against three suspects in connection with a 2020 shooting incident in Battle Creek that killed two people.
Open murder and weapons charges will be lodged against a 34 year old man and a 27 year old man, in the deaths of Leon Jackson, 30, and Diamond King, 23.
The two victims were shot while at a party at a house on Ritterhouse Ave on June 16th of 2020.
Gilbert stated that a third suspect in the case is being sought by authorities, and will also face similar charges.
Prosecutors say that a motive in the case is unknown, but that the investigation showed that King was an innocent bystander and not an intended target.
