OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A man has been arrested for an armed robbery in the Target parking lot in Oshtemo Township last night.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office says around 7:30 p.m., the man demanded a cellphone from a woman parked in a handicap parking spot, pulled a b-b gun when she said she didn’t have one, and then got $40 from her.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies caught him in the Main Street Pub parking lot with the weapon and the cash. He is being held at the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home.
The Sheriff’s Department says the male is a known panhandler in the Oshtemo Township area and has trespassed at several businesses.
