MASON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Both weather and road conditions believed to be the cause of a single-vehicle crash in Cass County on Friday, November 18.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. on US-12 near Cassopolis Road in Mason Township.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 50-year-old David Schrader of Joplin Missouri was heading west on US-12 in his truck that was pulling a camper when he suddenly found himself having to avoid another traffic crash. He then lost control of his vehicle, ran off the road and struck a tree.
Schrader was transported by Porter Towhship EMS to Elkhart General Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
Authorities believe drugs and alcohol were not involved in the crash.
