PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting incident that took place just after midnight on Monday morning in the 1400 Block of Capital Avenue NE in Pennfield Township.
When they arrived, deputies found the victim who was uninjured. The suspect had fled the scene before deputies arrived.
With the assistance of the Battle Creek Police Department’s K9 team, the suspect was tracked to an apartment complex where the track was lost.
Witnesses told investigators there was a confrontation between two adult males, and shortly thereafter, shots were fired.
After further investigation, it was found that no one was hit by the gun fire. The suspect is known and the investigation is on-going
