BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Calhoun County Road Department says the bridge on Raymond Road over the railroad, just north of Michigan Avenue, will be closed for approximately four months starting April 3 for rehabilitation.
Detour routes will be posted via North Wattles and Verona Roads.
Officials say this will be a complete closure for through traffic. Kellogg’s factory traffic will have access to its facilities via Porter Road.
Much of the needed work will be taking place under the bridge, on the bridge substructure.
This project is funded through the Michigan Department of Transportation’s Local Bridge Program and will cost approximately $1.5 million.
The contractor is Anlaan Corporation of Grand Haven.
