KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Authorities in Kalamazoo are launching a new survey program they say will help them better serve the community.
It’s called My90 and Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety say it will help them engage with the public, collect feedback and achieve better results after service calls. They go onto say that the platform, owned by Axon, will provide constructive criticism to authorities and recommend specific tactics to bolster safety, trust and equity during public interaction.
How it’ll work is that hours after a call is made, the caller will receive a survey from KDPS via text message.
And drivers will be given cards with QR codes through which feedback can be submitted.
“This is just one of our many new partnerships that will help build a bridge of trust with community members and help us improve as a department, said KDPS Police Chief David Boysen. “At the end of the day, keeping the community safe is our ultimate goal and we will continue to work towards that.”
The platform is scheduled to go live on Saturday, April 1, and public safety officials say that all feedback collected will be confidential.
