KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A former Western Michigan University professor is suing the school, claiming his contract was not renewed due to religious discrimination.
Daniel Mattson was an adjunct professor in the School of Music and says in a lawsuit the school didn’t renew his contract because of his “Catholic views on homosexual behavior.”
He is seeking to get his job back along with compensatory damages against College of Fine Arts Dean Daniel Guyette and professor and former School of Music director Keith Kothman.
