PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Starting Saturday April 1, Portage Parks & Recreation will open the Bike Portage bike share program for the 2023 season.
The program will make available ten step-through style bicycles for rent along the Portage Creek Bicentennial Park Trail, just north of the Celery Flats Pavilion.
According to Portage City officials, users must download the Movatic app on their mobile device, create an account, allow the app to use their location to find the “Celery Flats”bike share location and follow the prompts to pay for and unlock a bicycle.
The bike share rental program will be operational April 1 through October 31, as weather permits.
Bike Portage Rental Rates:
Walk-up/Non-member $1 to unlock, $1 per 30 min (max $20/day)
Member First hour free, $1 per additional 30 min (max $20/day)
• Monthly Membership $15 plus Member rates
• Annual Membership (April – October) $50 plus Member rates
