BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Battle Creek Police are asking for the public’s help as they are investigating a shots fired complaint early Sunday morning in the 100 block of West Rittenhouse Avenue.
Police responded just after 2:00 a.m. after Calhoun County Dispatch received multiple calls from the area.
Officers talked to several people behind a home. They said someone had just shot at the home but could not provide any information to help officers.
After searching around the home, officers found several shell casings on the sidewalk in front of the house. They found that the house was struck, but that it wasn’t the intended target.
No one inside the home was struck, and no other injuries were reported.
