LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The state’s unemployment rate for August fell a tenth-of-a-percent to 5.2%.
The Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget says jobs declined by 7,000 and the number of unemployed people dropped by 6,000.
The national jobless rate increase one-tenth of a percent for August to 4.3%.
Michigan is higher than the national average by 0.9%.
