KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – It may not be everybody’s idea of a fun day, but Kalamazoo’s Public Services Department will be holding open houses this week.
That will include tours and explanations of what goes on at the city’s water, street and road operations.
City Manager Malcolm Hankins says Tuesday, they will hold an open house at the upgraded water reclamation plant on North Harrison Street.
“It’s a great event. There will be food, so we invite everyone out to experience that,” says Hankins.
On Thursday evening, they will hold a second open house at the Public Works facility on Stockbridge Avenue.
“Tour the facilities, meet the public works staff and learn more about the maintenance, forestry, streets and stormwater operations.”
Both are free family-friendly events that will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
