The New England Revolution extended the contracts of Curt Onalfo and Chris Tierney and promoted them to new roles in the front office on Monday.
Onalfo, the club’s sporting director since 2023, is now the senior vice president of soccer operations.
Tierney, who has been the assistant sporting director since 2024 and served prior to that as the Revolution’s director of soccer operations (2022-23) and player recruitment manager (2019-22), is the new general manager and chief soccer officer.
Both will report to team president Brian Bilello.
“Each of them brings a unique perspective and experience to the club, but more importantly, they are excellent collaborators who share a vision for our club’s future,” Bilello said. “As MLS continues to grow, so does the importance of balancing a win-now approach at the first-team level, where we aim to compete for trophies every year, with a sustainable system for player identification and development.”
The Revolution entered the FIFA World Cup hiatus in fourth place in the Eastern Conference. They return to action on July 22 at home against Toronto FC.
