COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Robert Morris Park in Comstock Township will be open this weekend for the Fourth of July holiday, but extra security is being added.
Township Parks and Recreation director Kate Bush says they closed the park on Campbell Lake along H Avenue from June 26th through the 28th after people in a car threatened to kill the gate attendant if they had to pay the five-dollar entrance fee twice in the same day.
Officials met Wednesday and decided to keep the park open this weekend with more security.
There have also been several weeks of reported violence at the park.
