COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Eastwood Little League in Comstock Township has been hit by vandals who kicked a hole through a roof of a dugout, spray painted graffiti, damaged an electric meter with a brick and damaged several picnic tables and a security camera.
League president Matt Schreiner says the damage is “super disheartening” and very frustrating, noting they don’t have a lot of money in the budget to make repairs.
One field that hasn’t been used in six years was also damaged and vandals left racist and homophobic slurs.
Schreiner says the complex has been vandalized three or four times in the last four years.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
