KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – God’s Kitchen of Michigan says it will have to cancel the free Thanksgiving dinner in Kalamazoo due to insufficient donations.
Chairman and co-founder Reverend William Stein says they are disappointed to cancel the Kalamazoo meal.
He adds they are “grateful” to their dedicated church and union sponsors in Battle Creek and says they will host a Thanksgiving meal there on Wednesday, November 18th at First United Methodist Church and Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
God’s Kitchen says the annual meal in Kalamazoo aimed to serve warm food to people who don’t have stable access to it, and it has been a key event for many in the area since 2017.
