KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo Board of Directors has named Ericia Moore as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, with her becoming the first woman to lead the group as CEO in its 160-year history.
Moore’s appointment will be effective mid-July. YMCA officials say it comes after a comprehensive six-month executive search through the guidance of Y-USA. They says in her new role, she will lead the organization through its next phase of community impact and regional growth.
A primary focus of Moore’s leadership will be driving the YMCA’s strategic “1 in 1 by 31” expansion plan. The initiative aims to bring a YMCA program within one mile of every resident in its service area by 2031.
Moore will succeed Interim CEOs Jim Migliaccio who will be retiring May 31,2026, and Rhonda Ludwig, who will be in place until Moore’s arrival.
She comes to the YMCA of Kalamazoo with over 15 years of experience in the non-profit world, currently serving at YMCA of Florida’s First Coast, where she has spent the past six years as the Vice President of Operations and Social Responsibility.
