KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – It was a very busy weekend in downtown Kalamazoo with the 75th annual Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair, Kalamazoo Pride, and Saturday morning’s Do-Dah Parade.
The KIA Fair and Pride were held Friday and Saturday, with over 100 artists displaying their work in Bronson Park and Pride held in the Arcadia Creek Festival Place.
OutFront Kalamazoo deputy director Michael Cleggs-Arnott says “now more than ever, it’s very important for our community partners to be standing up both physically being here, but physically with our financial dollars” as many LGBTQ nonprofits have lost funding “because of lots of things going wrong with our government.”
