LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A new poll from Mitchell Research and Communications says the Republican race for governor is a statistical dead heat between Congressman John James with 28% support and former Attorney General Mike Cox with 27%.
Businessman Perry Johnson is third with 23%, and Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt of Van Buren County is far behind with just 4% support.
Johnson’s own poll from Strategic National has him at 26.5%, ahead of James with 23.8%, Cox with 12.4%, and Nesbitt with 5.9%.
