Four finalists chosen for next Portage city manager

PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Portage city council continues to move briskly to select a new city manager.

Last night, after a closed session, the council came out and narrowed their list of candidates to four.

At this point, the list remains anonymous to protect the privacy of the finalists, who have requested their identities remain secret.

But we know their numbers.

Councilmember Jihan Young made the motion to hold public interviews for four weeks from today.

The council is on pace to reach their goal of having a new manager in place by early this fall.
