KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo County Clerk is seeking permission to apply for funding for additional security measures to protect election operations in her department.
The request for $8,600 would go to the Kalamazoo Community Foundation, which has already found a private donor interested in funding the project.
It would be spent on the installation of a security alarm system for election-related spaces, and window treatments designed to reduce visibility into sensitive areas.
It’s on the consent agenda Tuesday and could get approved without discussion.
