LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – With the start of a new school year, a new law is taking effect in Michigan banning most cellphone use by students during class time.
Michigan Education Association president Chandra Madaferri thinks that’s a good thing.
Madaferri says she understands the anxiety parents may feel about not being able to contact their kids immediately by phone.
But she reminds us, that our parents didn’t have smartphones to keep in touch with kids, and everyone was fine.
