KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) – An additional $1.6 million in mental health funding is headed to organizations in Kalamazoo, Ottawa, and Van Buren counties.
The grant funding through the Department of Health and Human Services is designated to strengthen mental health services and support substance abuse recovery.
Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo is being awarded a $599,999 grant for their Family Trauma Assessment of Children and Caregivers work.
Van Buren County Circuit Court in Paw Paw is being awarded a $399,999 grant for mental health and substance abuse treatment expansion and enhancement.
Ottawa County Community Mental Health in Holland is being awarded a $616,685 grant for mental health & substance abuse services.
