KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An early Sunday morning shooting has taken the life of a 49-year-ol woman in Kalamazoo.
Around 4:15 a.m. Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers were dispatched to a home in the 100 block of Reed Avenue for a report of a shooting. They found the woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
KDPS officers immediately began life-saving measures and the victim was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
They say the investigation is in its preliminary stages and no suspect information is available at this time.
