OTSEGO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Students at Dix Street Elementary School in Otsego are back in class today at Allegan Public Schools’ Pine Trails Elementary.
Repairs need to be made to Dix Street Elementary from a fire that happened last week.
The fire damaged the library and media center and smoke and water damage happened throughout the school.
Allegan, Fennville, Paw Paw and Plainwell public schools donated furniture for the students, and Grand Valley State University wrestlers moved the furniture into the school.
No estimated timeline for the reopening of Dix Street Elementary has been announced.
